Founded by music lovers for music lovers, Millennium Music began in 1998 as a
non-profit, privately organized undertaking dedicated to presenting chamber music
concerts featuring some of the finest musicians from around the world.
The guest artists are often an exciting new discovery for many Calgarians. Master classes, scholarships and performance opportunities are provided by the Foundation to talented music students. We are working with established music institutions, mainly in Alberta, and encourage their support. Our Registered Charitable Number is: 882800220RR0001 Charitable Contributions The Millennium Music Foundation is dedicated to contributing to the local community by providing access to wonderful music for many members of the community. Each year, we provide 20 concert tickets to students studying in the University of Calgary's Department of Music. Recently, we have also provided full-season subscriptions to students of the Mount Royal College Conservatory. In the past, we have also donated concert tickets to the Canadian Cancer Society. In the near future, we plan to organize a series of concerts in nursing homes and long-term care facilities. These concerts will be performed by Mount Royal College Conservatory students. |
